East Cork’s 4th Battalion, 1917-23

The Landscapes of Revolution Project has been exploring various aspects of the War of Independence and Civil War in East Cork for a long period. These have included an appraisal of a number of individual actions and examinations of how the IRA operated in specific portions of East Cork. Some of the initial work in this area was produced on the Midleton Archaeology & Heritage website. Some elements of this work were also included in the Heritage Centenary Sites of Rebel County Cork publication.
